Poetry

After fighting it throughout university, I began writing poetry at the tail end of 2022 while recovering from surgery.

I focus on themes of home, family, belonging, and – more often than anything else – food. (Which strikes me as all of those things combined.) Honestly, I spend a staggering amount of time writing about butter.

My poems have been published in the Scottish creative writing journal Little Living Room, and on Green Ink and The Prose Poem.

My piece, Method for a Sunday Roast, will be published in the anthology Best Microfiction later this year. I remain very happily on the fence about whether it’s a prose poem or a piece of flash fiction.
