Events and speaking
I’m a regular speaker at industry events and guest on industry podcasts and I host regular online events and workshops for newsletter subscribers.
In 2021, I launched a successful national media event – the Freelance Writing Awards. Over 1100 freelancers entered the awards and hundreds of people from the media industry tuned into for the live event.
I’ve been a guest on some brilliant media podcasts, including Always Take Notes, Being Freelance and Media Voices. For my MA’s digital culture module, I even made my own. I’ve been on Sky News and made a couple of appearances on BBC Women’s Hour.
I’ve worked as a guest lecturer for several universities, speaking about freelance writing and creativity at Westminster, Gloucester, Derby and Nottingham universities.
I’ve hosted a packed out session at the PPA’s conference MagFest and events at Soho House.
