My books

My unpublished novel, Belville, won the 2022 Yeovil Literary Prize. It’s about the lives of real life women Ruth and Maria Belville, who sold time around London for almost a century. If you’d like to talk to me about the novel or representation, drop me a line.

The Pyjama Myth: the Freelance Writer’s Survival Guide was published by Unbound in March 2022.

Whether you’re a seasoned professional or just embarking on a freelance career, The Pyjama Myth will help you through the highs, lows and in-betweens. It’s not a writing guide, rather a guide to making your freelance life happier and richer. And yes, some of it was written in my pyjamas.

In 2020 I co-authored The Feminist Quiz Book with Laura Brown. It was published by Bonnier Books and it’s a brilliant collection of questions about the women who dared, fought, and pushed to change the world. It was released in paperback in 2024.

You can still buy copies of my first book, Domestic Sluttery, which is always a surprise since that’s almost a decade old. And if you’ve got an old copy of a Frommer’s guidebook, you’ll find me in the London editions – I was their shopping editor.
