I’m Sian Meades-Williams. I’m a PPA award-winning freelance writer, author, and poet. I’m also editor of the weekly media industry email Freelance Writing Jobs. I’m available for editorial commissions, copywriting and creative suggestions in which I exchange words for money.

My book The Pyjama Myth: the Freelance Writer’s Survival Guide came out in March 2022 and my novel-in-progress won the Yeovil Literary Prize and was shortlisted for the Exeter Novel Prize. Drop me a line if you’d like to discuss representation.

I have an MA in Modern and Contemporary Literature from Westminster University (please do talk to me about feminism and imagery in Jean Rhys’s modernist works).

I’ve been a reader for the Highlands Book Prize and a judge for the PPA’s Scottish Magazine Awards. I’ve also been shortlisted for awards from the FSB, Digital Women and the Westminster Alumni Awards. In 2021, I launched the Freelance Writing Awards.

You can find me on Twitter for GIF-heavy chat and Instagram if you would like to see photos of my brilliant tabby cat, Chip. If you’d like to offer me your crisps, or talk about working together, get in touch.
